2nd half demolition - Ashton Athletic against Skem Utd

The first pre season game at Brocstedes Park saw the visit of Skelmersdale United from the Evo-Stik League Northern Premier - Premier Division.

A tough ask on paper for the Yellows but no-one expected the result that was to come.

A fantastic second half performance from Ashton Athletic completely blew away the opposition, scoring 6 goals in the second period after a solid first half display.

Indeed the score was a respectable 1-0 to the home side at half time but no-one would have predicted the onslaught that was to come.

Skem just could not cope with the quality of football that was played from the whole squad this evening. Indeed it was a pleasure to watch for the home spectators and bodes well for the start of the new season.
