The Yellows welcome The Storks to Brocstedes Park.

Ashton Athletic welcome Padiham to Brocstedes Park on Tuesday 26th April looking to kick on following an excellent 4-1 win over AFC Liverpool.

The game was even in the opening minutes and then Isaac Kusaloka opened the scoring on 11 minutes after beating the defence and firing past the AFC Liverpool keeper. Danny Smith doubled the lead on 27 minutes. A quality cross from Alex Ashby, a player who's come through from a successful U18s team, was met by a neat sided footed finish from 6 yards out. 2-0 turned to 3-0 when Joel Brownhill shot from outside the area and the rebound fell to Isaac Kusaloka, who had time and space to pick a spot and place the ball past the keeper. The Reds pulled a goal back 7 minutes before half time. Brandon Gaskell gliding past Luke Holden and firing into the bottom corner. AFC Liverpool had the chance to pull it back to 3-2 from a free kick but an excellent save from Martin Pearson kept the score at 3-1 at half time. Ashton Athletic started the second half brightly and the pressure paid off when Alex Ashby crossed into the box and the ball ended up bouncing past the keeper and into the net for his first goal of the season and Ashton's 4th of the game making it 4-1. The Yellows had plenty of chances to add to the scoreline but couldn't find the net and AFC Liverpool found Martin Pearson in inspired form making 2 world class saves.

Padiham travelled to bottom club Alsager Town and picked up 3 points with a good 2-0 win. Goals from Thomas Fowler (50) and Aaron Taylor (75) sealed the win moving The Storks to 51 points and condemning Alsager to another defeat and another step closer to relegation.

Padiham will be hoping to replicate the same result as when The Yellows visited The YESSS Electrical Arena on 22/8/15. 2 goals either side of half time from Kieron Pickup (40) and Chappy Massamba (47) gave Padiham a 2-0 lead before Callum Mahoney pulled one back for The Yellows but were unable to find another goal to pull it level.

This is Padiham's first trip to Brocstedes Park since their promotion season in 2012/13. The Storks defeated The Yellows 3-0 on 27/4/13 with a hat trick from Ben Allen (42, 67 & 80p).

Ashton Athletic will be looking to continue their charge up the table since languishing in 15th because of bad weather. The Yellows, in 8th, will be looking to catch Bootle who are in 7th position but have played 3 games more than Ashton. Padiham will be looking to break into the top ten. The Storks are currently in 13th position on 51 points but are in good form. 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat in their last 6 games scoring 15 goals and conceding 16.

Ashton Athletic co-manager, Dougie Pitts:

"Saturday was another good result for us and sees us leap to third in the form table. Although the games are coming thick and fast the run seems to have done us good as we have won four and drawn one of the last six games. Padiham are a good side and have proved that this season with some good results. They were the better side when they beat us 2-1 earlier in the season so hopefully we can put that right on Tuesday. We continue to suffer from injuries but the lads that have come in have done really well so hopefully that will continue."
