Ashton Athletic travel to the YESSS Electrical Arena hoping to extend their unbeaten run to 4 games. Having reached the FA Cup 1st qualifying round by beating Worksop Town 4-1 on penalties, The Yellows welcomed Hanley to Brocstedes Park on 27/8/16 and fought back from going behind twice to win 3-2. Dan Cope putting Hanley in front on 18 minutes and taking them to half time 1-0 ahead. Issac Kusaloka levelled the scores in the 53rd minute and Hanley took the lead again through Josh Thorpe 7 minutes later. Isaac Kusaloka levelled the scores once again, poking home a Danny Regan cross, and he completed his hat-trick on 88 minutes making it 3-2 to The Yellows.

Padiham come into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat away at West Didsbury and Chorlton. Rick Gleave grabbing the winner 3 minutes before full time.

The Yellows will be looking to avoid the same result as when the last visited the YESS Electrical Arena. Kieron Pickup put Padiham ahead in the 40th minute and Chappy Massamba doubled the lead 2 minutes after the break. Callum Mahoney halved the deficit with 10 minutes to go but Ashton were unable to find an equaliser and The Storks went away with all 3 points.
