Ashton Athletic started the preseason fixtures off to a 6-0 victory over Windle Labour at Bobbies Lane. The Yellows were on the front foot from the start and goals from Lee Vaughan, Sam Bailey, Jamie Harrison and Marcus Cusani put the Yellows 4-0 up at the break.

Both teams made many changes throughout the match and the game started to become a scrappy affair. Marcus Cusani and Chris Webster scored in the second half and Martin Pearson made an excellent penalty save to keep a clean sheet.

The Yellows travel to Burscough Richmond on Saturday 15th July.
