Update: A much needed win for the Yellows and all 3 points lifts us out of the relegation positions and into 17th place.
A great start for Ashton with a goal from Ethan Beckford on 11 minutes and almost immediately Neil Weaver made it two. Josh Nicholson increased our lead on 29 minutes and the result looked in the bag but a goal from Squires Gate right on half time put them back in the game. HT 1-3
In the second half a missed penalty from Ashton and a second goal from Gate (54 mins) put the cat amongst the pigeons making it 2-3 and the pressure was on not to concede another.
We got a second penalty and this time there was no mistake from Dale Korie-Butler (70).
Thankfully Ashton saw the game out and took away 3 much needed points.

Squires Gate sit two places above the relegation zone and also two places above Ashton Athletic so it's all to play for in what the pessimistic would say is already a 6 pointer after only a quarter of the season has run it's course.
