Adam Storey secured all 3 points for the Yellows with the last kick of the game.
In a pretty even game Ashton's Ben Kay should of given the home side the lead after 20 minutes but he put his effort wide when it would of been easier to score, it was that man who did give the home side the advantage on 40 minutes, when a controversial handball was given against the Winsford number 5. Kay stepped up and watched the keeper save his penalty only for the ball to rebound to him as he tapped it into the empty goal to send Ashton in at half time one goal to the good.
Winsford drew level in the 50th minute as a stray ball from Kay was intercepetd by Riley who found Noon on the edge of the box, he let fly with a fierce shot that took a wicked deflection that left Foulds in the home goal with no chance.
Chances later fell to Midgley and Mather but the scores remained level until the final minute when a long punt from Foulds was flicked on by Midgley to Storey who raced clear of the defence to send the ball calmly passed the on rushing keeper to send the Yellows into 10th place in the league.
