The Yellows went into this game in good form having only lost once in September and after a impressive away win at Runcorn Town on Monday night expectations where high.
Joint manager Ben Kay came back into the side after illness replacing Ian Rowlands who was away on holiday.
The first half saw both sides cancelling each other out with no real chances of note. The game was settled in the 69th minute through Mike Leach, good work down the right from Danny Regan led to a cross that picked the unmarked Leach at the far post who riffled his right foot shot past the keeper to give the home side the deserved three points which saw the Yellows move up to third in the league.
