Having been to Maine Road a few times in the last couple of years, I knew this was going to be a tough game as the sky blues pride themselves on their home form.
With the weather at this point shocking! The yellows decided to play with the hurricane behind them, this proved to be the wrong decision, instead of trying to keep the ball on the floor they seemed to think that the route 1 approach would be more benefical, with very few attempts at either end both teams went in goalless with Maine Road definatley the happier side.
It wasnt long before the dead lock was broken, a quick throwing was held up on the edge of the box from the ever dangerous Bentham who laid it back to Breslin and with a slight deflection left Foulds helpless.
The second came with 10 minutes remaining, a through ball was seemed to be collected from the on rushing Foulds only for it to slip from his grasp to give Moran the easiest of tap ins.
A dissapointing preformance from Ashton, not helped by the conditions although Maine Road seemed to cope ok, we now travel to Silsden, desperate for 3 points and a goal!!!
