On a difficult pitch, Ashton started of well and took the lead through Livingston on 7 minutes, good hold up play from Mike Downing on the left was equally matched by Adam Howards low cross that left Ritchie Livingston with the simplest of tap ins.
The rest of the half was a scrappy affair with not much action, the main unfortunate talking point was the injury suffered to Didsburys big number 9 Walsh who unfortunately broke his cheekbone in a clash with Ian Rowlands.
Everyone at AA wishes him a speedy recovery.
The second half started as the first finished with not much football being played, Didsbury had a golden chance to equalise when good work from Williams saw his low effort rebound off the post into the path of the on rushing midfielder who blazed his effort over from 5 yards out.
The home side did manage to level the scores in the 74th minute when a throwing was laid into the path of Gleave who had lost his marker and calmly placed his shot into the bottom right corner leaving Foulds no chance.
With minutes remaining Ashton were awarded a free kick around 30 yards out, up stepped Ashtons very own David Beckham... Jamie Harrison, his curling shot left the home keeper helpless but could not beat the crossbar.
A fair result on a bumpy pitch, with taking the lead was a bit disappointing we couldn't hold out for the win.
