ATHLETIC TRAVEL TO MANCHESTER ON THE BACK OF TWO DEFEATS LOOKING TO TAKE SOMETHING FROM MAINE ROAD

The yellows are back on their travels tomorrow when they visit high flying Maine Road, the reverse fixture finished with Road scoring a winner in the last 5 minutes to send a much depleted yellows side to a home defeat, but with only 2 games in a 6 week period being played, the management trio will be hoping that their team hit the ground running, as they will need to be at their best to take anything home from Manchester.
2nd - Maine Road 61PTS
9th- Ashton Ath 39PTS
But with 6 games in hand, the yellows will be looking to close the gap.

On the injury front, Dean Callaway will not be considered for selection as hes still struggling with a knee injury, skipper Mike Wood is rated 50/50 as he broke down in our friendly on Tuesday suffering from a twisred ankle, also the Danny Mahoney fiasco seems to be sorted as hes decided to leave for Nelson and not Droyslden as reported.
