Despite a dominant opening period and taking the lead thanks to a composed finish from striker Keelan McCabe, Ashton's young side were unable to finish off the job.
An equaliser in the 33rd minute from Hyde seem to kick start the home side and put Ashton on the back foot.
The second half saw 2 excellent teams battle it out and the result could have gone either way.
Most of the half was in deadlock but that was broken in the last 10 minutes when Hyde's pressure took its toll and they got the winner.
Ashton's U18's are back at Ewan Fields on Sunday 9th of October to repeat the fixture, this time in the North West Youth Alliance.
Hopefully we can reverse the result.
