Ashton Athletic 18's could only manage a draw against Altrincham AFC despite dominating the match.
In the first half the home side looked completely in control but just couldn't create any clear cut chances.
Against the run of play Altrincham broke away and took their chance, holding on to lead until half time.
Ashton again dominated the second half, but the scoreline could have been made worse only for some brave goal keeping from Matty Shorrocks.
An excellent shot from Harry Johnson hit the cross bar early in the second period and defensively we looked solid.
The pressure finally did tell as Dec McLoughlin equalised in the 70th minute with a great run and finish.
It was all Ashton again and a winning goal looked on the cards but the visitors battled hard to hold on to their point, as time ran out.
A frustrating day for all concerned.
The 18's now take on Curzon Ashton away in the league on Sunday the 19th which is sure to be a tough test.
