Ashton Town 3 Ashton Athletic 0 - Mon 1st April

In the local derby clash on April Fools Day, Ashton Town secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Ashton Athletic. Despite Athletic's recent good run of form, Town dominated the game, strengthening their position in the playoff places. The Yellows struggled to find their way on a difficult, heavy, and sloping pitch, failing to create enough chances to dent the solid Town defence.

Man of the Match honours went to James Aspinall, the Ashton Athletic goalkeeper, for his outstanding performance. Conal Larkin also impressed in defence for Athletic. With two league games remaining, The Yellows will aim for improvement, and we look forward to their next home game against Bacup Borough at the weekend.

Thanks to all the supporters who turned up to support Ashton Athletic.
