Update: Sam Houghton scored an excellent right footed shot into the bottom corner to give Ashton Athletic the lead in the 33rd minute but the home side always looked strong. The equaliser came just before half time at the Douglas Bowl.
The second half was much of the same in a tight game which either side could have won.
Unfortunately the 2nd FC Isle of Man goal proved to be the winner even though we had the chances to get something from the game.

The Yellows have an away weekend flying over the Irish sea to Douglas to take on FC Isle of Man in the North West Counties Premier league.
IOM have 3 points on the board beating Litherland REMYCA 2-1 in the last game but lost their first game of the season at home to Lower Breck to a single goal.
Obviously it's early days and there's no form guide for this one. Let's hope the last couple of matches against quality opposition will help matters and we can come away with all 3 points.
