JOE HULL
The latest addition to the squad is 23 year old Joe Hull; Hull’s previous clubs include Myerscough College, Ashton Athletic (under Steve Wilkes) and Wigan Robin Park. Joe is predominantly a centre midfielder but can also be utilised as a striker. Joe said “I’m a firm believer that working hard for the team is a minimum requirement for any player and that is what I base my game on. I’m really looking forward to a great season and being part of helping the club reach the next level. I want to do everything I can to make that happen under what I regard as a first class management team.”
Jay Foulds “Joe is a player that goes about his business unnoticed, his work rate is one of the best I’ve seen of any level of football. He rarely gets the reward he deserves from the opposition but we know what he’s all about and we are delighted he chose to join us at Ashton. Joe is yet another local lad and that was one of the things we expressed to the club when we took the job that we want players who want to play for the club with desire and passion and Joe typifies this.”
Fellow First Team Manager Ben Kay stated: "We certainly know what Joe is all about and he will be a great addition to the squad. He is a great lad who fits in perfectly with the ethos we are trying to promote at the club both on and off the field.
